What should I do if I book a driver back into the store by mistake?
What should I do if I book a driver back into the store by mistake and I have actually not accepted any money?
In this instance the only option that you have is to firstly remove the order amount from the driver.
Go to the Dispatcher Menu > Till Functions > Collect Float
For example:
- Driver is out with an order for 20 pounds
- Staff member accidentally books the driver back in the store
- The system shows that the driver now has 20+ pounds in his float
- Staff member uses Collect Float to get the 20 pounds off from the driver
- Now the system thinks it has 20+ pounds in the Till (top of the Dispatcher screen, EoN and reporting)
- ! So we use paidouts to remove the 20 pounds from the Till - Once this has been done to balance out your daily takings you should enter a paid out (expense) for the reason REFUND.
This will then balance the float for the day.
Useful tip: The steps above are not absolutely necessary, as it makes it more confusing. Simply wait for the driver to come back with the money.
